It would’ve been even more amazing if they started on time. The grid had only a few drivers on intermediates. Norris, Russell, Hamilton, Vettel, Ricciardo, and Stroll. That group would have led the race after a couple laps.

Rewatched till the race was neutralized lap 30 something, great call by red Bull and some great laps by Perez. I still don’t think ocon should have a penalty for lap 18 incident but race control gets more information than we do. I’m sick of Monaco so boring, do a festival or something where all the drivers show off their skills.

Watched Indy 500, zac brown was there pato almost won, I’m still thinking him and Danny ric swap next year.

I think they should keep Monaco. But for that particular race, they should put the drivers in Go Karts. Make the race like a bonus level in the F1 calendar or something. You can't overtake in that track with the modern F1 cars.

I don’t see how Monaco is materially any different that most of the F1 Calendar.

At least it’s an interesting venue with a side of racing entertainment. In that sense it’s probably the most honest F1 Venue.

In terms of the racing or something else? In the dry, there is basically no on-track overtaking in Monaco. Last year after the first lap, there were zero overtakes. Every other track it's possible.

I love Monaco for what it is and enjoy the races there simply because of what Monaco is and represents, however, the races themselves are boring as fuck, no doubt.

The vast majority of F1 races are boring as fuck. Monaco just doesn’t pretend otherwise.

Disagree. You’d have the tires fall off, and still hold everyone up in a train lol. We had a full field train starting from 7th. If they started the race on time ending with Norris in the lead, it’d be a full field train. And I’d be happy.

I don't bother watching Monaco. Boring. I'd watch if they put all the drivers in Nissan Micras or Honda Fit's and have them race the same circuit. That would be fun.

How am I just watching this now? TV coverage/direction this weekend was atrocious, constantly jumping from car to car, lack of replays, no info on red flags etc.

Loved the race though. One of the more entertaining monaco races in a while.

Ahh that makes more sense then. I heard about the power failure and that was part of the delayed start and the last red flag having a rolling start instead of a proper standing start. Didn't consider it affected the broadcast as well. That's a shame because as far as Monaco races have gone this was less dull than some of the prior years.
The broadcast team at one point said that the monitors in their booth went out. I wasn't sure if it ever got fixed or not.

Sounds like you like having a train run.

True. At least with Monaco you get epic views of quali where you can really see how hard they're pushing the limits of the track.

Might not be the fastest or most passing track, but Monaco has very little margin for error. That's why I like it. 1 moment of innatention and they are in the walls. Which makes the races and quali that much more interesting
