Alonso to Aston Martin wah wah
Thought you were joking, looked anyway. Haha.
Guess Oscar is all but signed for alpine next year. So that’s good news for him, he should be pretty talented.
That youtube video looked yellow, but i agree that after watching it on f1tv made it a bit clearer and the second flash seen is green. Can blame that one on #fakenews. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Unless they turn things around, Ferrari have their work cut out for them in the second half. Mercs are starting to find performance in their car. Red Bull have been ahead of them in strategy, pits and teamwork. Pretty big gap to fill.
Also, just wanted to say that Lewis has had a few great weekends in a row. Nice to see him look actually happy. Also, his comments about Ferrari being on hards and everyone laughing in the cool down room was pretty telling
Nothing like a young and upcoming Fernando Alonso to take over Vettels seat. Amirite @Misterman haha. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

AM reminds me of BAR these days.
Lol, fuck me. Oh well, good for him. My only question to Alonso, is Why?? Says he still has desire to fight for championships. so he goes off to a team that is placing 5 spots behind his current team every race. We better at least get some more entertainment from him next year. He had me dying with his radio message at the last race "I want them close to me to kill their tires"This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Papa Stroll must be just thinking to get as many world champs in his car to help develop it into a winner for his kid.

Long term contract. Alpine only wanted him 1 more year, and replacing him with Piastri in 2024. Aston Martin is reportedly signing him for 3 years. All of a sudden silly season becomes fun during summer break. Piastri is upset at Alpine for making him wait till 2024 so he’s been talking to McLaren and wants to go there, and there’s talks of lawsuits to have him stay. Also looks like Ricciardo isn’t getting an extension so McLaren has a seat open for next year. DR could go to Alpine, but Alpine is still bitter about him leaving. So now McLaren is at the center of 2 driver lawsuits where they want to go there (the other being Palou in indycar which is even spicier). This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Should be a spicy 3 weeks haha.

Gotta love waiting till Piastri's agreement runs out before announcing Alonso. Papa Stroll is a vindictive man. Spicy summer break, but that means silly season might be over after the summer.
Oscar is officially alpine.
I think Riccardo stays next year, unless he moves to Indycar but it seems like he holds the cards via his contract.
Alonso signed a 1 plus 1 plus 1 plus 1 deal with AM. He can choose to keep extending it up to 4 years. Pretty much the perfect contract for him. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Besides vettel who won’t be in f1 next year??
Latifi??
DR??
I don’t think much else will happen.
Latifi won’t be. DR has 1 more year on his contract and with Piastri now with Alpine officially I don’t think McLaren will continue to try and push DR out early. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Others ending in 2022 that need renewals:
Stroll - no brainer will resign
Tsunoda - Can’t really see anyone in the RB academy pushing Tsunoda out at this point
Zhou - doing great so can’t see him not getting extended
Mick - 1 more year at Haas seems fairly certain before other seats open up in 2023.
Can't really see any others being dropped at this point.
In other news Ham bought into the ownership of Dallas Broncos.
I feel with Alonso, he has nothing going on for him outside the F1 world so he's trying to capitalize, make money and stay relevant for as long as he can and clearly a team offering a longer guaranteed contract (even if they are shit) is going to be way more appealing than the one that he knows for sure won't keep him after 1 more year.
AND Piastri to Alpine confirmed for next year:
