Audi buying mclaren rumors firing up again. Porsche buying into Red Bull powertrains is the other. VAG going all in on F1 it seems.

F1 must have satisfied them on the powertrain plans in the future. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

There are reports that Merc dropped the appeal after cutting a deal with FIA on the future of Massi and Nikolas Tombazis.
Today FIA had said that decisions on the investigation will only be released on March 18th.

I'm sure if VAG is willing to inject capital they'll have some negotiating power with F1 and as I can't see a Merc/Vag engine supply connection given their competition in car sales, investing in Red Bull makes a lot of sense. Perhaps some of the engine R&D would flow down to Porsche's other racing teams.
RBR using Honda engine until 2025?

Interesting change if this is the case. I would be shocked if after winning a WDC Honda would just leave the sport. But then again, Honda has made questionable decisions in the pastThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
RBR either thought last year was gonna suck and ate crow after; or they saw complexities of building a competitive engine in a tight package and said fuck itThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Also Honda having their name on a winning car is a big deal. Why 3 years, probably cause vw/Audi/Porsche will take over from there.
I thought Honda was just going to provide some engineering support and continue to use the Japan factory, instead of moving manufacturing to England. …

F1 tv pro for me then. Pretty sure I read that they won’t show the first practice sessions. I was excited to see them, guess they don’t want to show off failures.
