Hockey bag yes. Wheeled hockey bag no. I had one when I was a kid because I thought it would be sweet sweet titties. It's not, and you'll carry it on your shoulder 100% of the time and drag it 0% of the time. Wheeled bags are a pain in the cunt to carry and you're already going to be miserable by being in an airport, so don't add that shit to your life.

Also, packing your own bedding is fuckin weird but that's none of my business I suppose.
I don't carry my wheeled suitcase in an airport, so why would I carry the bag? I agree going to the rink though, hate the wheeled bags

When you stay in hotels so often, you learn what you need...their pillows are always garbage and I struggle to get a good nights sleep with them. I'm also allergic to their industrial strength laundry soaps, so carry a cotton liner to sleep in.

Hotels are nasty places, especially the beds

Maybe they've made strides in wheeled goalie bag technology since I had one. They didn't wheel well because they're so long and you don't get much leverage to keep the nose in the air. I'd rather just fling it over my shoulder but they've got a hard base that digs into your back. Wheeled bags back then weren't worth the money. Having said that, if you find one you like, buy it and use it.

As far as hotel rooms, I don't know. For years I spent ~250 nights a year in hotels. I'm not allergic to anything and I can fall asleep on rocks so none of that bothers me.

I'm glad my kids don't want to play hockey.

If hockey players were girls, they would turn off the heat and freeze their rental properties.

Maybe check out the Ogio Big Rig?

I've been using the smaller versions of this for 10+ years and they were bullet proof throughout the hell of my road warrior days, and still going strong. Not the most attractive out there, but who cares when you don't have to risk your shit coming down the belt in a plastic bag because your 1 year old Samsonite exploded (speaking from experience).
