Someone change thread name to 'Hate my kid(s)'. I have the opposite problem - 2 young kids that won't get out of bed. Wrestling match to get them ready every morning but I get to sleep in weekends.

We're all just too soft. Kids used to raise themselves. Starting around 8 I wouldn't see my parents for weeks at a time because they'd be out working til after I went to bed. Basically TV and TV dinners raised me. I turned out alright...I think. We're putting in all this extra effort just to raise entitled lil brats. They'll be fine, maybe better, with less engagement & supervision.

I'll check in as an old dad. I'm 42 and have a 2 year old and a 6 month old. I have 3 project cars in the garage on lifts and stands and no time to work on them. That's what's eating me right now. 2 of those cars are so close to being ready to go, but finding an hour when I'm at home, both kids are unconscious, I'm conscious, AND I have enough energy rarely lines up.
