I'm not sure I'm a miserable fucker but I'm definitely too much of a curmudgeon for being <40.

I could bitch about the World's central banks stealing from savers to fuel political pandering and corruption for hours...

I also fucking hate the nepotism and ageism that occurs in most corporations but I resolved that by quitting my job.

Oh, and fuck all of the bureaucracy that forces you to hand over a % of your money to banks/accountants/lawyers and that makes it more and more difficult to be an entrepreneur without 7-8 figures in seed capital.

Edit: 6-7 figures in seed capital? Hadn't drank my coffee. Even 7-8 figures is likely low these days to hire the army of lawyers/accountants/regulatory people that most businesses now need.

Inflation and unemployment rates are a piss poor metric of misery. Lots of unemployed people living their best life the last two years (on taxpayer money).

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.

The last time Spain has unemployment rate as low as Calgary today was 2007. I don't see them as miserable.

So it's all weather.... or Siesta is the answer?

    Go on...

Honestly the burearuacy complaint sounds like a good business idea. They have it for writing wills, real estate deals, etc.

As someone living in Spain, I'd say that people are happy because of their close friends/family, good weather, delicious food, and healthy lifestyles. That said, when I go out with people <40 who do not work for the government, all they do is complain about how shitty their jobs are and how impossible it is to do anything about it. But then they just vote for more and more socialist parties expecting the oversized and corrupt government to fix things when the oversized and corrupt government is the problem. As someone who thinks one can always change/improve their situation, I also decided to quit my job upon moving here because it's honestly pointless to work your ass off and fight through all of the taxes and bureaucracy if you can afford to live without doing so.

Perhaps for some things (which have likely already been done) but in general there's such a complex patchwork of ever-changing legislation and regulation these days it really does seem you need tailor-made professional solutions. The complexity of running a business without running afoul of things (especially the latest "woke" laws) seems more and more challenging, although the court of Twitter opinion is probably more dangerous than the actual courts.

I am a closet pessimist but an outward optimist to most people, so I guess this makes me a miserable fuck?

As you can see, the real deal with MalibuStacy is that he's Mr. Burns' assistant. He's in his early forties, is unmarried, and currently resides in Springfield.

Very much not but hey, you might know more than I do.

Never the less, not a miserable fucker here - life is much too short to be miserable. Y'all need to unpucker them shit holes and go do some crop dusting at the grocery store, enjoy life - hell, maybe that's why some of you are miserable, you probably bumped into my vapor trails.
    Will fuck off, again.
