    Default Internet Browser Error

I am having some issues with my internet browsers not displaying correctly resulting in me restarting my computer multiple times each day to correct. The upper portion of all my browsers (Chrome, Microsoft Edge) do not display at all. No task bars, no shortcuts, not even the min/max and close buttons. (see pic)

Restarting the computer will fix it but it seems to only last an hour each time. Nothing comes up when I Google this issue. I have run my ESET virus protection numerous times and it doesn't find anything.

Anyone run into this before and find an actual fix for this?

I have had this, and my understanding is that it's not a browser issue, but a video card issue on your machine. I don't have a good fix, I fuck around it sometimes fixes itself.

Change your scaling in display settings and see if that fixes it. Saw this all the time - I think ExtraSlow is correct, it is a video driver issue.

Right click desktop, go to Intel HD Graphics settings. Select Display and then choose the option Scale Full Screen. Make sure the option Override Application Settings has the checkbox marked.

After restarting and the browser working F11 works as normal. I'll try it again once it craps out.

This appears to fix the issue once it arises and I no longer have to restart the computer. So video card is probably on the way out but at least I have a work around. Thanks @suntan
