Looking for a contractor

My wife and I are planning some small renovations over the next few years and are looking for a contractor. We would only be doing about 10-15k per renovation (the big one is moving a wall and adding closets). is there anyone you would recommend? I've called a few places, but unless it's more than 50k, they don't have time for it.

I'd recommend shopping out each job on homestars. I've had remarkably good success in entertaining at least three quotes for every trade required for medium sized jobs. Many sub trades are willing to aid you in being your own "GC" if you bring a level of expertise and awareness to the bid/quote process.
