Chouzhou Commercial Bank, which became the main transaction channel for Russian importers after the invasion of Ukraine, reportedly notified clients last week that it was terminating relations with all Russian and Belarusian organizations.

With Chinese New Year scheduled for Feb. 10-17, an “almost imminent logistics collapse” will hobble exports to Russia at least until March, one of Vedomosti's sources was quoted as saying.

There is “very little chance” that Russian imports from China would resume after the public holiday, said Pavel Bazhanov, an expert in Chinese law.
    Interesting....

Now Russians have to make their own Adidas tracksuits?

Some Ukranian teenager came to my door last night to try and sell me freeze-dried fruit in support of Ukraine. It was a very quick no from me.

If this is true, isn't this a pretty big deal? China is basically saying "you're on your own" which could make US intervention more deliberate no?

    Yes and no.

Apparently it's a new US Secondary Sanction started in the new year.

I'm not sure why US only dropping this bomb now. But given sanction didn't really stop Iranians buying Chinese stuff, I'm sure there are other ways but it will disrupt some businesses. Remember US tried to pin Huawei CFO on selling PCs to Iran under sanction? Meanwhile Iran can still send missile parts to Houthi, fund Hamas and drone the shit out of Jordan.

It's just making life sucks and cost more to get what you want/need.

EDIT: Love how those guys embraced mofo.com domain.

Apparently Tucker Carlson is in Moscow interviewing Putin. That could be interesting.

tucker interview is good, albeit a bit awkward. Tucker's face is pretty funny with those expressions.

long story short, Putin comes off as a reasonable person, not some crazy nutcase. Which is completely unsurprising for anyone that has watched any previous interviews or press conferences with Putin. Guy is light years ahead of our leaders like Trudeau or Biden. Biden can't even remember what years he was vice president!

I'm not really sure I'd call it an Interview... he only asked a few questions which were obviously cleared in advance.

I don't agree with a lot of what Putin says or does but there's no doubt that he's got twice the intelligence of Trudeau and Biden combined.

I liked when Tucker asked for the release of the spy kid.

People did call him insane and unpredictable. He's neither.
