Definitely not regarded for their looks, but revered for everything other than packaging and that front end. Drove like a luxury sedan, amazing materials and fit and finish, has the valet credentials (sounds like a wife priority), second to none service experience and your youngest will be able to drive it to high school. It’s the most surprising thing I’ve ever driven (I had a pre-ugly 2013).

I mean I haven't figured why you would buy a modern BMW, but I assume there is a redeeming feature.

One of the best infotainment systems in the industry. Some of the best engines in the industry. Free maintenance and better reliability than Audi or Merc.

GM has a fancy new semi-autonomous "Super-cruise". Sounds perfect for a wife that can't drive well.

Besides, if she can get around in a GLS, she can more or less handle an escalade. Escalade might even be easier since it's boxy and you can see all the corners.
