We're cancelling our BC trip. I had these booked, if anyone wants them, let me know and we can coordinate a day/time so you can scoop them up right after I cancel.

Greenpoint (Tofino), Site #85 on the bluff, Sunday July 10th, 4 nights, trailer up to 27'

Mount Revelstoke SnowForest, Site B12 July 16th, 1 night, trailer up to 24'

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.

site 85 at green point is one of the best. I can't make use of it, but I wish I could.

Anyone know any decent cabin camping (glamping?) resorts in AB or eastern BC? Something like wilderness village in Alberta. I want to do WV, but their cabins are fully booked all of July and Aug so trying to find some other similar options.

theres some nice glamping cabins in the castle park, but expect they're fully booked at this point. Just search Comfort Camping on the parks website

We usually do otentiks at parks canada. Two Jack Lake otentiks are the best but usually gets fully booked minutes after reservation system opens. But you can keep on searching for cancellations as we usually get random otentiks that get cancelled and we grab them right away. Not sure if that’s something you would try/like.

Nice, thx dudes. Will look into those.

There’s that Camp Alert service that watches for cancelations so hopefully it works for these campgrounds

I was walking around the North Ghost campground this weekend and I'm confused about why 5/6 loops there seem to have locked gates, and at least two of those have trailers visible in them. Never stayed there, but it seems pretty nice and not that far away.

Could be seasonal or group sites that are locked at the renter’s discretion.

Third outing of the season to Elkwood this weekend, then back to little elbow. New to us trailer is treating us well.

If you had to choose between Lower Lake, Elkwood, or Boulton which one do you go with? Never been to any of these and they all have sites available for the days I am looking at.

Not a huge difference between them tbh, focus on individual bsites and where they are on the map. Can be nice to be in Ellwood and able to walk to the amphitheatre for the evening programmes if that's your thing. Or Boulton closer to the path to the pond.

I'm stoked to finally have a mini camping trip booked, we just snagged a cancelled spot for Elkwood. I haven't been there before so really looking forward to checking it out, and bringing the bicycles this season.

Couple of good deals from PA on 12V fridge/freezers:

    75L dual, $570
    https://www.princessauto.com/en/75-l...t/PA0008999054

50L single roller, $350 only available online but ships free.
    https://www.princessauto.com/en/50-l...t/PA0008984098

The 75L says it's coming soon but I'm told there's some in-store at the South location at least.
Edit: can confirm they have 4 in the North store at time of posting.

Headed to chinook this weekend with some boys. If you see some obnoxious drunks, that's not me. If the drunks are downing in the lake, haul em out, thx.

Wilderness Village cabins are pretty sweet. Wish they had more of these, they are booked solid for July and august.

I’d say this is far more honest “camping” than most will admit
