If you are working under any sort of contract, accepting the bonus then quitting would likely be taken as a breach.
Very industry and contract specific. This tactic is super common in many fields. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Use up your vacation days and if you don't have enough, claim covid so you get 14 days and if that is not enough, just tell your boss you caught a covid variant
if i get the offer, i'd prefer not to use vacation days and push out the start date, they pay you out vacation and i have a bunch carried over from last year. double pay dayThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
We had a guy leave his resume on the photocopier and he was let go the next day with said resume in the bosses hand lol. This was just a warehouse job so wasn't anything spectacular. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Another guy I know did a phone interview while on the job with the conversation recorded. The convo was somehow randomly pulled for a survey and he was let go. I met up with him at a later date and he did get the job that got him fired so it all worked out and his cell phone was dead at the time of the interview so he used his work phone.
Another guy I worked with left the company with about a month to go before bonus payout. He made up a family emergency overseas that he had to fly to and milked it until he got the bonus payout, then quit right after.

Wow I had never thought about this, lol. I did an interview over my work phone before I left my old job since no one would question my being on it vs my personal cell and possibly getting interrupted. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
