EDIT -unrelated to my reply, I don't even know what to think of this thing. On one hand I am happy some of the citizenry is doing something about the ridiculousness of it all—and it is nothing but ridiculous anymore—but on the other, it is disheartening to realize those two organizers are such pieces of shit. It's unfortunate you can't do something without human barnacles attaching to feed off it. I don't believe for a moment the intent of this particular things is about "anti-vax" or can be in any way construed as racist OTHER than being organized by said two idiots. But at the end of the day I don't think it will accomplish anything whatsoever beyond displaying yet again the arrogance and cowardice of our dear elected leader and just how out of touch he is with the real world. That part is nice. And sad.

But overall, it's fun to watch. Fun to see how ridiculous some people's reactions are (pro and against) and as rambled about before, sure is good for revealing what kind of people some of us are. Entertainment factor is high.

I was surprised to see @JordanLotoski reposting their stuff on his insta account. I've seen clips of long trains of vehicles, but I'd like to see the actual final "tally" when everyone shows up. And yeah, I've seen a lot of posts about how they're not anti-vaccine, just anti-mandate, but I'm curious if they'll repeat this stunt in the States when they implement the same mandates for truckers to cross the border?

Why are you asking about 50k trucks in response to a comment that just said 50k was a made up number that got tossed around before it even started?

Because Fleury said so. And he also said the front of convoy entered Ontario and tail end of convoy has barely entered Manitoba. So that's more than 5k National Post said but about 1/2 of 50k if the convoy is traveling with min space between them.

Just want to compared to the size of the 2019 Convoy which ended up with little impact on policies.

Also, I'll have to admit when I'm wrong. At first I thought this is just border issue but didn't know it also involve interprovincial border. And I also call the vaccine mandate for the trucking industry stupid in the other thread as we have huge shortages. Sometimes a policy sounds good but you have to be realistic on application. And if there is anywhere for hypocrisy, letting interprovincial border mandate lifted would be the one.

I don't see the Feds will be backing down from this. As usual, there are other interests riding on this as proxy war. Including Fleury that's paddling his NFTs.

just found this video from their facebook group, the whole convoy was 2:20 long, and there were only 20 actual trucks.... and even of those trucks, few if any, had their propaganda on it so who knows if some were even involved.

It's already implemented in the US. If Canadian truckers get what they want, they still won't be allowed to cross into the US, but US truckers will be able to cross into Canada.
