I think if they went with a message that actually meant something, it might be worth doing. However, anyone I've ever talked to who would support this kind of thing will accept nothing short of Trudeau putting himself in jail for the rest of his life for crimes against the west and the Liberals never being in power for the rest of human existence. I suppose that might happen, but it's probably not likely.

It will have the effect of burning diesel, and creating a gofundme where money is vacuumed out of the pockets of people who aren't smart enough for this kind of thing.

A few selected pictures from the Facebook group. As you can see, it's a level headed group with a clear message and the money raised will definitely go to a good cause.

I’ve seen a lot of people flaunting mask rules today which made me happy.

I enjoy how that email for the interac money transfers is an encrypted proton mail account that can't be tracked. Very smart.

The best part with all this is how the conservatives keep coming out against vaccines mandates and effectively completely sinking their chances of ever being elected. It's too bad O'Toole can't take a page from Harper and muzzle the numbnuts in his party. At the rate we are going the conservatives just keep making themselves less and less electable. Really not sure why they keep pandering to the "big" brain regressive idiots.

Devils advocate post - More for the sake of discussion rather than personal beliefs.
To preface - I am vaccinated and believe in the efficacy of vaccines.

    Here we go...
They are against vaccine mandates because its a blatant infringement on charter rights and freedoms. There are definitely a certain subset within the loud group against mandates who are completely anti-vax as well, that's a given.

    However, what is more regressive:
    1) Fighting and protesting to maintain charter rights and the right to free choice

    or

    2) Being forced by a government to get a vaccine you may or may not believe in, live in perpetual lockdowns and restrictions, and have a democratic government lock out parliament and all oversight committees as it continues to spend hundreds of billions without any checks or balances?

What's making Conservatives less electable is they actually believe in putting people to work and reducing government oversight to allow businesses to thrive, meanwhile the majority of the Canadian population is proving to be lazy as fuck and completely complicit with receiving handouts from the government, which the Liberals will happily continue to do.
Until the Conservatives start giving out handouts, or the majority realize money needs to come from somewhere, they won't win.

The problem has always been Canadians. Our politicians are symptoms of the problem.

    Canadians are the real idiots.

I can’t believe how badly covid has turned you all into a bunch of pussies. Albertans used to have a spine. For shame.

I threw down $1k on the gofundme. Go truckers.

O’toole is Trudeau-lite and completely unprincipled. Maxime is the only sane party leader and should really be running the conservative party.

    They don't want vaccines.
Incorrect. They don’t want mandates, lockdowns, masks, vaccine passports, forced testing and quarantines, stupid fucking anti-science rules, authoritarian bullshit that has done sweet fuck all besides destroy the economy, a generation of kids getting way behind in school, and the mental health of many. Further dividing an already divided country with his disgusting rhetoric and outright lies. Who the fuck is that power tripping drama teacher to tell millions of people what they can do, and what self-respecting adult would listen to him?

I know folks taking part who are vaccinated as well as folks who are not but have had covid (meaning they don’t need the vaccine, as the CDC has confirmed yet again for the dozenth time, but they keep handwaving it away).

UK came to their senses and got rid of restrictions. Plenty of US states haven’t had any this whole time. Time for Canadians to get on with life.

Like Jordan Peterson said, our response to the pandemic has likely done far more damage than the pandemic itself. The fact that covid policy is based on opinion polls asking scared constituents what they think should be done, and not based on science, should be an instant non-confidence vote. But everyone is afraid they won’t get re-elected. Only now are a few CPC folks showing support. So lame.

Very close to use on restricted specific routes mostly in the USA. Really far from widespread replacement.
