Haha all zero of them? It's only the pro-Trudeau sycophants who pay any attention to him at all and have this weird obsession with him. Even after explaining his role (or lack thereof) they are all over the guy and keep bringing him up as if it's some kind of gotcha. I haven't seen anyone support him in this thread, for or against the protests. That said, I do strongly disagree with denying anyone bail on a mischief charge, including people I don't like.

Kids these days don't understand the importance of preserving the rights of people you disagree with and don't like. Instead, they want to live in a world where abuses are fine as long as it's people they don't like.

No, I don't give two shits about Pat King, I think he's an idiot.
I also believe jails should be significantly worse than they are. You know, make it an actual punishment for being a terrible human.
That in and of itself will reduce inmate populations.

It's likely to reoffend and is a risk to public safety. So I don't see how this any worse many rapists, pedophiles, or murderers that are routinely granted bail.

Those guys who brought a bunch of guns to Coutts and wanted to kill rcmp.. ya I can see them being held. But I'd probably agree that anyone facing those charges be held.

The people from the Ottawa protest will probably serve more time waiting for trial than they do from any eventual conviction

They can stand at house of commons all they want and hold signs, which is well within their rights to do so if they choose to change their course of protest. And they're 2 fucking people! Keeping them in Jail is literally zero indication that 50,000 people won't roll back in and block the streets anyway. For fuck sakes, we let child molesters out with a "High chance to reoffend" every god damn day. And we are worried about these two people honking car horns in Ottawa?

but it's not...assuming their bail would be similar to Chris Barber... condition of bail is to leave Ottawa within 24 hours and not communicate with the convoy except to assist other people in leaving Ottawa as well...
