I know of 5 people in my network of friends who died from Covid, no underlying conditions, all 5 weren’t vaccinated.

Yeh people are getting Covid now who are vaccinated and having mild symptoms, myself included.

I think few share this view. Because government is bad.

People has stopped being sympatric and used basically any excuse to justify their own action.

Here we are at 15 short of 1600 in hospital and not only some won't help, it's stressing the system further while being cheered on.

We won't survive the next one. I don't see how we can afford our medical system going forward. Let alone having the ability to face other threats on the global stage.

hospital numbers don't matter in my opinion when half of the positive cases aren't in the hospital due to covid.

Majority of people dying are still 60+, vaccinated or not, with 75% of them having underlying health issues. They are still overwhelmingly the age group that's hospitalized. Impose lockdowns, curfews and restrictions on the age group that's still taking up beds, even now. Let the rest buck.

None of that would be been prevented by vaccine travel mandates, travel restrictions or shutting down businesses. It was affected solely by their choice on vaccination.

My view:

- Covid isn't going to disappear, regardless of what we do at this point.
- Omicron showed that a mutation can spread across the globe faster than we can do anything about it, so I think travel restrictions have shown to be pointless
- I think restrictions, specifically masking, are necessary only in certain higher risk environments. Those being hospitals, elder care facilities, etc. So that should stay for the time being.
- Our hospitals managed the Omicron wave relatively fine but that is almost entirely because of vaccinations. The rate of hospitalization of vaccinated vs unvaccinated is still a 10-fold difference. All this data is readily available both by AHS and other regions. Vaccines work well, even against Omicron.

So I still agree with vaccine mandates because that's the only thing that is pre-emptive in reducing risk and lessoning severity so we can get past this bullshit. Restrictions should be lifted so life can go back to normal, travel restrictions and pcr testing needs to be dropped.
