So, I don't have twitter but a friend who does sent me this. Seems like a totally accurate and legitimate number that couldn't possibly be exaggerated. In fact likely only to grow.

Can someone "do the math" on how long physically a line of that many vehicles would be and what kind of fuel consumption would be for that size of fleet to get say half way (assuming the full line). My guess its in the 1000s of km and more than the $5mil they raised.

In short, i believe the assessment is entirely shite.

50,000 trucks estimated at 70ft long (some with 53' trailer, some without, and minimal following distance) works out to about 1060km.

Apparently the current best estimate for trucks and vehicles involved headed to Ottawa is 58,748... A pile are heading up from the states as well. Just a small gathering.

So when the first truck arrived in Kenora this morning, the last truck was cruising through Swift Current...nice.

I saw an article that said it was 70 km long, so that's like 4500 trucks. Supposedly another 12,000 coming from the US, and no idea what the east coast is doing.

All I'm saying is I'm glad I don't have to deal with traffic in Ottawa this week.

Current location of this convoy? Any no legitimate pictures? Most news articles are using stock photos.

It's not just one convoy 1000km long, there are multiple convoys that will meet in Ottawa

Fun fact: the truck I drove this summer got 50-65L/100km. That would be about 1700-2200L of fuel one way from Calgary to Ottawa.

When are we supposed to be free? I don't feel any freer yet.

That's because they're being suppressed and censored by the liberal media.

I was worried that might be the case.

You can't keep the truth quiet forever

According to the Canadian Trucking Alliance there is 160,000 truck drivers in Canada, so that's quite a lot of support they're picking up along the way.

i have seen lots of news coverage on it... so i am not sure what they are covering up at this point... the only thing they are not reporting is all the conservative politicians lining up at all the truck stop glory holes for some action? But liberals have no need for that info...

I should have known I was wasting my time presenting data to someone who I wouldn't expect to understand the basic concept of epidemiological reproduction rates.
Now that you have no arguments left, you can use whatever excuse you'd like to back out. That's fine.

    Wow >50L/100km?¿?¡?!!
I'm disappointed that I didn't know it was anywhere near that high. That's fucking horrible. I would've guessed a little over half that.
    Fail.

I'm working with a client right now who estimates 50,000L/day in diesel consumption on a future project. That's over 300 barrels per day!

Can confirm, our grain truck has averaged 62L/100km since harvest.
