Homemade Mac and cheese. My kid swears they like that, but fights about me "using the wrong recipe" every time. Sounds like they are old enough to make thier own.

If you aren't baking it with a panko on top, you're doing it wrong.

I think a key ingredient is mustard and it's tough to get the amount just right. My lousy ma-in-law decided to die without sharing her secret for spectacular mac & cheese. Sometimes I flick her urn and taunt her ashes about her poor decisions to "take her secret recipes to the grave".

Then I imagine she taunts me back by telling me she can see me when I whack off in the shower and that I'll never get her quality dinners anymore.
Then I mock her back for being dead.

    Circle of life.
Not that it matters, but she would've laughed until she cried about this kind of humour.

Wasn't OMG but wasnt bad either. But not worth the price. Rather have great Kirkland sirloin burgers or Belmont Angus burgers.

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

On topic: Spaghetti and pasta (homemade with homegrown tomatoes from last year), and Ikea meatballs, which will never not be weird to me.

    Only $12?!¿!
If guess there's a teaspoon of Wagyu in that entire package.

Can’t think of anything but this lmao

Wagyu has its place. But it’s not always the correct choice.

For a ground burger? It’s kindof a hilarious concept.

Wagyu has just become a buzzword 99 times of 100 these days. It’s utterly meaningless in almost every setting.

    I never buy frozen anything

I prefer to buy ground sirloin mixed with some fat 70/30 mix and hand make my own fresh.

    Always better than boxed anything.

Also this. Frozen patties are always worse than diy.

My oldest daughter hates it when I don't make the patties fresh by hand.

There is something so off putting about the majority of frozen patties… but then again, lots of people add a ton of binders and spices and other crap and over work the mix and end up with a dense meat loaf like substance

I'm not above making way more than I need and freezing those.

In the grand scheme of meat, burgers just don’t rank for me as something worth making.

That's another point I forgot to post yesterday. At what point do you go "this is more work than steak... Fuck it."?

Some guys are just more experienced and skilled at pounding the meat. I like making my own patties. Not much in em, beef, sometimes pork, little S&P and that's usually it. No binders or fillers.
