Default Please suggest a garage builder.

I have no idea where to find something like this. I'm looking for someone to extend my garage. Currently I have a 2 car garage with RV parking next to it and I have no interest in buying an RV. I'd like to widen the garage to hold 3 cars and possibly explore the idea of adding a lift to hold 4 cars. I thought it would be better to ask here rather than literally just search Google for people that can cut up a structure on which I have a mortgage. The garage is detached from the house but does have electrical and gas heat.

I just did but the voicemail specified it was Done Right Roofing. I'll try again later, thanks.

Good plan. Calling back later improves the chance that it's no longer a wrong number or that they will have suddenly updated their voicemail.

You may (likely will) run into some beaurocratic red tape bs for this. Garages over ~600 sq feet in Calgary require a 4' foundation or a engineered slab. Most people go the latter but with an existing pad plus parking pad it may be hard to get the building permit approved. Though since you aren't pouring anything perhaps that doesn't apply to you and it'll be a non-issue.

Either way just make sure you sort out the city permits before you commit too much $$$ to it.

    Full development permit likely required.

That was simply a notification that the voicemail had a different company name and a separate, independent notification that I will try again later.

No pad, just gravel next to the garage with a fence to separate the neighbour. The garage would go almost right to the fence.

That's actually very helpful, thanks. I have never gotten a permit before so I appreciate you suggesting that.

I'm not an expert or anything, but if the fence is your property line I'm pretty sure you're not able to build right up to it. You might be able to install a roof and have a carport type of set up?

Depending on the area, you can build right up your the lot line. I'm in an older area and was able to. @Mar check out the city website. Lots of good, easy to find/read info.

I used Gecko projects and was very pleased with them. Except the concrete contractor he hired. He took care of me and made the issues go away without any fighting or argument.
