I was trying to make fun of myself, then spikey changed my meaning. Oh well.
I knew what you meant, don't worry.

edit: I love that reps aren't anonymous anymore, but maybe someone should start another thread where people can post screenshots of neg reps and argue with each other about that.

I’ve never understood why they make bicycles in sizes other than a children’s small

I guess for the people who calculate their gas costs per km?

They probably drive a pickup with "the big motor" because they think they need it for two weekends of towing per year as well.

    Animals.
Haha, yeah, and imagine getting a V8 in something that doesn't even tow, what a maroon.

Filled up my 15L/100km vehicle for the last time today. Picking up my EV next week after a 6 month wait.
How long before the cost offset difference between your new EV and the 15L/100km vehicle make sense financially? Unless gas prices climb into the stratosphere, won't it take decades before you'll finally see savings?

Diesel has hit 198.9 by my house. Gasoline is still 165.9.

Assuming both vehicle serve the same function and he needs a new car anyway to replace old car. $2/l gas vs $0.1/kwh. 20k km/year. You are looking at $5700 saving/year.

And unless you buy a Tesla, most EVs have $10K premium over ICE counterparts before $5K rebate. ROI is actually looking pretty good.

Assuming the new vehicle has a loan and the old one was paid off, savings be gone!

707 HP is never the wrong answer.

If you need a new car anyway, that's the caveat. Even then, if you are talking about servicing $5700 on interest alone on your car, I don't think fuel cost is a problem.

Tuning for power usually helps fuel efficiency, if you can stay off the pedal.
I got the wifes BMW tune adjusted at Sheni's for the new turbo kit, and the thing stays in closed loop until 1 bar boost. That's how the factory has it!

I dont think they oems are leaving any mileage under the table.
