Creeping up on $5 US per gallon too. Might cause more of a stir south of the border.

$1.91 most everywhere in town. Could be $2 in Cowtown in a matter of days.

July first, unless the UCP extends the fuel tax break.

It’s based on avg WTI price over the quarter. If it’s over $90 then fuel tax break will remain which I think is pretty safe to assume at this point.

It has to be renewed every quarter though. It's not automatic.

The way this reads to me, it automatically remains until they explicitly decide to reinstate it.

But whatever, just arguing semantics at this point lol. I still maintain it’s safe to assume kenney and friends are definitely not reinstating it July 1

As of Friday afternoon, folks are filling up between $2.359 and $2.419 per litre of regular gas. If Pasco’s prediction turns out to manifest, the region can expect to shatter the record and reach as high as $2.499.
Vote for a government that wants high gas prices to discourage personal vehicle use, get high prices to discourage personal vehicle use. Is that really a surprise? Set the price @ $3/L in metro Vancouver, permanently, then you'll see less vehicles on the road.

High gas prices in lower mainland are a feature not a bug. Doesn't concern me even a little.

You mean more vehicles, all Teslas because all that gas tax is going to EV rebates.

Just came back from LA yesterday. Had to return my rental with 91 Octane. It was $6.59, works out to ~$2.4/L

    That’s gross.

Biden is really scrambling, they’re going to do something this week about gas prices they said. Nothing flips the midterm elections faster than higher pump prices.
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."
