Im starting to wonder if i can somehow justify in my brain spending money on a motorcycle this spring, to somehow offset the cost of paying for fuel in my truck lol. Spend 10k plus on a bike to "save fuel" or just keep on truckin

I wouldn't calculate $/km on my car unless I drove for a living.
Not even skip the dishes drivers do that. Or they would choose unemployment.

    1.6L Miata for the win

I was actually surprised how shitty fuel economy was on our 1.6L Miata. Thought something was wrong, looked it up, sure enough it’s got worse fuel economy than our Sienna and even my E53 AMG lol. I think I averaged around 10L/100km on it as a rough guess on highway trips. City driving was around 12L/100km.

Odd, my supercharged 1.6 Miata was usually on the 9-11 range in the city.

24mpg is the official EPA average, 9.8L/100km. That’s mix highway and city, a little better than what I saw, but I drive that car hard. Well, as hard as you can drive a Miata lol.

Modern cars are just so much more efficient, and of course I’m comparing with 2 hybrid which makes the comparison way worse.

A full tank is 30L if I remember correctly and I get around 380 kms.

130 dollar oil is really a massive environmental victory. Liberal voters must be truly ecstatic.

I calculate that it costs my 4Runner over $0.30/km right now lol. Regular btw.
Current fill price/last tank kms = $0.29/km for my Expy, which is right now looking pretty good in comparison to this!

Haven't had to fill since the major jump, but the fuel light won't be far away right now...

I am 192 points away from a 10c/ltr voucher from Petro though

Soon everyone will be getting standalone ecu's not for power but for fuel economy with their dyno tune.
@Yolobimmer , you dyno tune anyone for economy yet?
