Haha I saw them live last time they were here. They’re brutal live. Probably cuz they were drunk as fuck. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I'm old and saw them at a festival in Europe about 10 year ago. They were alright as I recall.
It's been 2 years since Ive seen any bands play so I'm itching to go see just about anything. Noticed quite a few other interesting shows coming up at The Palace too:
Godspeed You Black Emperor -Mar 14
The Darkness -Mar 22
Clutch -Apr 1
Blackberry Smoke -Apr 2
Btw, Dickens Pub has some good metal shows coming up soon too. (Obscura, Omnium Gatherum)
Little different from what you guys like, but might try and catch comeback kid, cancer bats and misery signals at dickens… I need some live music. I think the last band I saw was October 2019, knocked loose in Vancouver
Oh, I didn't know about this. My standing policy is see Clutch whenever possible. Now I need to decide if it's possible. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I saw Hammerfall and Ensiferum there as my last show. Will be good to get out again.

I make a point of seeing Dreadnoughts @ Dickens every time they come through. I've been to lots of shows over the years but they're easily top of my list.
It was awesome, atmosphere was deadly.
Met Adrienne Cowan from Seven Spires, sweet girl.

wait, how did they do a concert? Just replay through the fire and flames while herman li makes yngwie faces?`I haven't thought about dragonforce in years, figured they just vanished into one hit wonder land. Seriously, they have more than just that annoying song you couldn't escape in the mid 2000's?
Yes, they even covered Celine Dion at 200bpm.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It’s for fun, it’s like going to Steel Panther.
I really wanted to see Firewind, but they didn’t make it. Too bad, While Herman Li is awesome, Gus G is world class.

Dragon force has a few decent songs outside of their one hit. Some of their slower songs are actually really good.
I wouldn’t t compare them to steel panther. Steel panther is basically broken toyz on speed. It’s a fucking hilarious party. Dragon force is nowhere near that level of fun.

Yea, and Steel Panther is another level. They're comedians as well as musicians. Funny, I knew of them thru Howard Stern I think, never planned to see them live. Then one year in Vegas on halloween, we randomly ran into @JAYMEZ and we followed him off strip to a random casino/bar for a concert and there they were. Good times. Highly recommended. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Pretty sure Broken Toys modelled their act after them.

Didn't they get exposed for speeding up their songs to make it sound like they're playing at warp speed? At least that's what the metal fan at my work told me.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Your metal fan coworker is an idiot. I don’t think anyone speeds up recordings to make it look like they’re playing faster. That’s just bizarre and would be busted so quick. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
They’ve played at full speed with perfect accuracy before. He’s done livestreams playing sober and it’s technically perfect. It’s just that they have huge drinking issues and played a lot of shows wasted, so the playing was riddled with mistakes. I mean nobody other than guitar players would pick it up anyways, not like I could play it sober so who am I to judge right? Haha

It’s right around 200bpm, it’s doable.
But even yesterday they were putting down beers pretty easily, I must say.
