Social conservatism needs to @!#$% disappear.

Figure out the economy and healthcare and stfu about everything else. And give me back my AR15's.
Yes most people are Libertarian. They just don't know what it's called. So we keep playing this left and right back and forth game instead.

Social and fiscal conservatism go hand in hand.

Just like there is no such thing as some being socially progressive and fiscally conservative. One flows from the other.
You can manage your spending and still allow gays to get married. Those things are not linked.

A real libertarian would wonder what role government should be playing in marriage at all.

Income splitting wouldn’t be necessary if our tax code wasn’t so backwards

The tax benefits of marriage are grossly overstated.

With income splitting gone, it's literally a tax DISadvantage to be married.

It is odd how it never happens (because it can't).

And gay marriage is a much broader issue than just "oh gobless heathens gittin married!" It's essentially a proxy for liberal orthodoxy.

Kill is correct, in that we can agree. Government has no business in marriage. And I'm not even religious.

All that out of the way, haven't received my ballot. Kenney has somehow managed to make more enemies then I thought possible in a short time. If he stays, NDP are definitely getting in as lots of people simply won't vote for him.

Good to see the UCP can also not manage their way out of a wet paper bag of vote counting

Ha. Kenney wants to go out on a big surplus and balancing budget. What happened to the 50+1?

    Brian Jean might be smiling!
    Looking around
    Wondering what became
    Of what I once knew
