Agreed. Both provincially in Alberta and Saskatchewan, and federally they are aimless and hopeless as far as I'm concerned.

There is no good option for Government, and that's somewhat fear inducing regardless of how much an inevitability it has been.

I think pretty much everyone is at the point of finding someone to vote against. I sure am, and that's a sad commentary.

I hate all partys equally, however, pretty sure we'd be losing our CTax rebate if the ABNDP form government next time.

I didn't say the NDP were the federal government. I said that Notley wants an NDP federal government. If it was up to her, Singh would be prime minister.

Honestly, who cares how many idiots are in the UCP. It isn't even remotely comparable to how fucked we'd be if the NDP ran the country.

Has redline heard that water is wet yet? He seems very new to politics with his opinions. Or just wildly uninformed.

The problem was that they actively courted the people with the glaring flaws, and now they've become empowered. It's basically what most conservative voters, particularly in the cites, were trying to avoid for two straight elections.

I guess there was the assumption that the old PC crowd, rallied behind Kenney, could control them. Harper was able to do it federally, why couldn't they do it again? Gave the social conservatives control over education and hoped that would placate them. Kenney seems all out of ideas because even in his address he's desperately hoping GOP talking points around education are enough to sway people (they won't be). 'Critical Race Theory', wokeness, sexual content, activist teachers. This isn't the speech of somebody, or a leadership group, with ideas.

The conservative political establishment in this country is incompetent, at every level.

But is it for the same reasons?

Because every problem that plagues the conservative parties also plague the liberal parties from what I can tell.

But Kert is finally red, so that helps us to know it's still wrong.

Just got my mail in ballot today. Looks like Deloitte Canada is the audit firm. Return address is in Edmonton.

Got my ballot in the mail too.

On the election front. I don't think it's a case of NDP vs UCP. There are a lot of people on the middle ground who voted for the UCP. The UCP might lose that vote or what I belive will happen is abstane. They won't vote NDP but they dont like the current UCP government. In my opinion, the UCP is not taking on legitimate cases. It's been a pure marketing campagin to make it look like they are doing something. Kenny has sourrounded himself with people that are not really competent on good governence. The idea that Kenny is out of ideas is nonsense. Plenty of cases and opportunity that could help him, but that circle is no good.
The NDP is just as bad. They don't use the tools at their disposal to really hold the government to account and take on issues. All they scream is UCP bad, UCP bad. Some hard questions do need to be asked to both sides.
