Nope. Have to attend. No online or mail in voting allowed.

Yes sir. Big $$$ to attend the circus. $99 before mar 19. $150 thereafter. $250 day of.

    Brutal.
    Interesting.

This might actually make kenney sweat a bit… I imagine people who want him out would be more motivated to attend this than his supporters.

Can't he just sign up a bunch of new members to keep his job? Much like how he did to get it in the first place?

Sign up thousands of new members. That'd the winning way.

So give me the elevator pitch on BJ, I thought he was even further right than JK? Isn't he inline with the anti-vaxxers and freedummies?

Honk if you love Jesus. That's Brian Jeans' value proposition.

Stop, I can only get so erect!

But he's anti-mandate, not anti-vaxx. So, you know, quite a big difference between believing in vaccines and not wanting your rights violated.

    Is he tho?

After the interview with Eyeopener this morning, I really don't know what he stands for.

    Cliff notes.

JK is authoritarian. He will take advice from people around him.

JK will lose to NDP. He will win.

Then on how he would have handled the pandemic, he said he would give NDP a seat in the committee to give AHS more power.

That's a rollercoaster of an interview.

He is much farther RW and if he isn't then I (and everyone else) will and should continue to stain him with that brush.
Why? Because he was the fucking leader of the Wildrose Party and that party had more than their fair share of hard right nut jobs in it.
So fuck him! Fuck him right in his loose, losing asshole! He will bring a new era of losership to the UCP and another term of NDP.

lol at this meme that BJ has any better a chance of beating the NDP than JK does.

So let me get this straight. I can now buy memberships for other people, without their knowledge, and those people can now mail-in vote. That doesn't totally reek or anything.

I thought that as well but I continued reading. Looks like you had to have had your membership by March 19.

We should celebrate that since the Special General Meeting was announced, our UCP membership has more than doubled and more than 15,000 people have registered to participate. Because of the intense interest, we have decided to open up the voting to all those that have a current membership as of the Early Bird deadline on March 19.

I think they worried about 14K sign up and 20k showing up in Red Deer or something. Only 2800 showed up in 2018 and voted Kenny in.

Now is this another Kenney trick or are people really wanted to vote him out? I just can't see how Kenney can mobilize that many voters.

It was all folks signing up that want Kenney gone. Anyone who supported Kenney was still a current member and didn't need to re-up their membership.

Many (like me) who were unhappy with Kenney and let their membership lapse signed back up when Jean won the byelection.

As I've mentioned before, I don't know if it will realistically help. But at the very least, Jean sounds more inclined to fight for things to help distance Alberta from the feds.

Pretty sure there are over 10k people, not just new members, actually signed up to attend and vote at the SGM.

    That’s the problem.

The venue can’t handle even a small fraction of the number of people who are coming.
