I saw that it was open again and need to get back there. The ham, egg, cheese breakfast sandwich is also excellent and they do a good french toast with bacon. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Easiest thing ever to make at home. C'mon guys lol
So what? I'm not at home
Definitely is easy. But.... it's just not the same tho. I've tried different variations since 2017 including a camping version. They were all awesome but the A&W original just can't be bested. It just can't be beat!!!This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Ok I'll try this hot dog.
They need a north or DT location so I don't have to drive all the way to dirty (now smelly too) SE.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
LATE 2023 BUMP.
There's a new place called Firehouse Sub's that opened in North Okotoks. Apparently, this is a US chain that's very popular, but I had never heard of them.
Anyway, go directly there and stuff your stupid, fat face. It's incredible! The large sandwiches are so big, you should win a t-shirt if you finish one and the huge amount of meat stuffed into these things is comical. So, so good! Only mild criticism is their Italian sub is a bit sweet due to the Honey Ham, but boo-hoo. It's still amazing.
I heard an owner say they are planning on opening one in Airdrie within the next 3-6 months, so that should give options to Calgary folks on either end of the city.
They also have one of those gimmicky fountain pop machines that has 76 trillion flavours and children seem to really like that, so that's an additional bonus as that gimmick will carry a kid (not a realtor's kid) into gobbling up food they may have not eaten, otherwise.
Pricing seems cheap considering how Subway has fucked their menu and now 80% of their shit costs more than Quiznos and Quiznos owners are so near bankruptcy that everything has been scaled back to the point that there's no value. I think Firehouse is going to be the last nail in Quiznos coffin (regionally) if they start to spread out in western Canada. Honestly, I think their starting business model should be to convert the remaining Quiznos into Firehouse.
Apparently, Quiznos has lost 90% since 2007.
Haven't seen Quiznos in years, thought they were already gone. Firehouse sounds nice, hope they expand to the city. I like sandwiches.

It's very fast-food in its ingredients and flavor.
That seems to check out considering it’s a fast food joint
I had a ribeye panini from holy grill last week, the one off of 4th ave, and it was amazingly good. Way better than the overcooked beef they always had at the bow valley one.
Still had a bit of moo to it and I loved it.

In that video I linked, the guy says Quiznos peaked at 4,700 locations and now down to less than 400 locations. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It's very hard to run franchise restaurants, either as the franchisee or the franchisor.
