Oh, I was just making fun of the fast and furious treatment on that car
Lol, I get it now. I'll admit the wing and CF Hood were a little extreme but at the time I lived in SoCal where parts were SUPER cheap. I was also 24 and dumb.

I took it to Vegas for a weekend once and got locked out of my hotel room. They had it parked next to all the exotics out front of Arya which made me feel like such boss.... right up until the point I got locked out of my hotel room and had to sleep in the back seat.

At least it doesn't look like a Liberty Walk fucked a Subaru Outback.

Ho boy, now you're really gonna hate me. I did that to a 99 Mercury Cougar when I was 18 and even dumber that I was at 24. No joke 3" of ground clearance. I couldn't drive ANYWHERE until I changed out the springs. Sold it a few months later and the poor guy ripped the whole body kit off at a dairy queen drive thru.

    https://www.thedrive.com/news/toyota...to-high-demand

That's neat. Wonder if it will have a meaningful impact on our market (unlikely).

My guess is its like market for the off-road 911 dakar stupidity. You could double the production and not impact the market. But maybe if you triple production then the market crashes because the 26 people that want one have got one.

We said goodbye to cheap lease Ford & picked up the wife's Rav4 this weekend from South Pointe (bud works in finance, so were able to get a no-nonsense deal on that at least ).

Gazoorolla is still sitting there, rofl. Apparently it's been "sold" twice so far, but neither sale materializing in the end. The good news is that when they originally went through their entire waitlist everyone told them to get bent, lolol.

I wonder why the sales didn't materialize; people slept on the fact that they would have a $1200/mo payment for 6 years on a Corolla

Likely young men that bought the car likely couldn't get the necessary financing. They are probably better off for it as well as this is a terrible deal for anyone that would have to stretch their monthly income to afford.

I dont know why everyone is crying about the selling price. There's nothing to lose for the dealer. They can sit on it for months to wait for a buyer. If all fails, put it back on MSRP and you'll have a lineup of people paying for it. Just simple economics.

Car will end up sitting at the dealership for 6 months because nobody wants to pay ADM. Toyota corporate will conclude there's no market for such a car. Production and development on any subsequent models gets axed. Toyota goes back to selling Camry's and RAV4's.

It would be reported/registered sold the day it arrives. Toyota wouldnt care. Toyota corporate isnt stupid. they know there is a demand, they have "increased" production. so this is a non-issue/.

Toyota already announced increase in production. Even the limited edition model gets a wider release for another year.

I am holding on to the faintest amount of hope that one can be had at MSRP. I might buy it.

Yeah but it's that only means a small handful of additional vehicles. These vehicles are being made in Porsche GT3 kind of numbers.

Saw one of these driving around this morning.

Dreadful looking car in person. I thought it was a slammed Nissan Juke at first.

I still can't get past that rear end

But if it were a GR Yaris I'd deal with it

    Come on Toyota...
