Default Ontario to vote on 4 day work week

From what I've read this is for non-essential workers, but nonetheless would be awesome fir the people that it is meant for.

If Ontario implements it in June, it starts January 2023 and it could open the door to the possibility of it happening here too, not that it would affect me where I am, but still.

I can't believe they would vote to go to work twice as often as they currently do!

When will they vote to tell us how often we need to go to work?

I really wouldn't mind that. And since I work for an Ontario company, it might actually affect me!!

Leaves more time for the side hustle we're all going to need to compensate for massive tax increases and stagnant wages.

Doesn't city of calgary already pretend to have this?
Compressed work week where employees show up a bit earlier, drink coffee and drag out the work day only to be rewarded with Friday off for all the work they got done in 4 days?

The city has a few versions of this in different departments. But it's easy to squeeze in more hours to fewer days when thier "standard" work week is 35 hours.

I agree. We pushed fir this when I was working at a shop in calgary and they just kept denying it. I love not working, so naturally, I like this idea.

Really it's about the environment. Think of the carbon savings by reducing daily commute by 20%.

    “How do we fix inflation”

“I know, let’s reduce everyone’s income by 20% so they can’t afford to buy anything”

Why even have incomes at all? Just have the state provide you with the basic necessities. It's a great model that should be at least tried.
