I think people are getting confused between a humble brag ("my mclaren and my ferrari both needed oil changes IN THE SAME WEEK") and a brag thinly veiled as a request for info.

I think we should call the latter a query brag.

So we have humble brags ("my wife's new tits cost me a fortune in lingerie upgrades"), and query brags ("should my over-water villa in the maldives be west facing or east facing?")

They are related, but different.
