Default Money no object dream home. What features do you dream of?

I have a mundane one, but it would tickle me greatly to have a home with no gutters or downspouts. Would need to plan the landscaping and yard layout much more carefully, and those features would "waste" some space, but I would love it.

Feel like ICF construction would be nice too.

What features would you want to have in your dream home?

My previous house was ICF, with the basement in-floor radiant heat set at 15c it was really warm in the winter. Keeps bills to a minimum as the heat moves up to the main floor.

My main wish is no stairs, just a slab house with in floor heat everywhere.

What would you do instead of downspouts?

What ES is saying is he ideally wants to live on a desert.

Me? Double entrance garage (drive thru basically) with built-in bay car wash and dryer.

Solar, in-floor heating, heat exchanger, BIG R-5+ windows, fireplace.

Rain collection system and giant vegetable garden.

Lots of wood/stone/natural materials and indirect uplighting.

Basically, a traditional country cabin with all the latest eco-tech.

Nah I don't desire to live anywhere drier than Cowtown. What I'd want is a drip edge, and landscaping to accommodate that.
Probably only small changes to the actual house to accommodate. Fewer roof pitches, all the longer roof pitches slope towards the side of the yard where water will cause no problems. Splash-accommodating landscaping like a bed of hardy plays between river rocks.

I think it would be really satisfying to build a rock garden or Japanese garden with flowing water.

Big-ass shop would be good too. And/or a pole barn for my trailers and tractors.

Good call to the guys above who said in-floor heat.

A custom kitchen. Like those spice drawers and soft closing cabinet doors. Mmm…

Have an indoor garden with a water feature in the middle with a skylight.

I think it’s called a veranda where you come in to park your car in the middle and then there’s a deck up top so I can greet you welcome like the peasants that you are. And then I woke up back to reality.

I most definitely am. That’s a nice upgrade from my hypothetical dream home

I pictured an open driveway on the side or at the front, and then a second floor veranda

There are some incredible large expensive houses, but I don't think my tastes run that way.

My alt is right. But not alt-right... He's correct.
I really can't imagine feeling the need to have much more than I already do. While I marvel at some of the fancy or ultra-modern places I've been, I think I'm happier having enough that I can barely manage to take care of it without hiring a team to take care of it, because that's a pain in the urethra.

One of my homes had in floor garage and basement, with a glycol boiler.

Best setup imaginable. Truly miss it.

I’ve always liked the idea of an elevator to take my cars to an underground bat cave garage.

But that also kindof tells me I should have more land instead of trying to shoehorn a warehouse into a small lot.
