Default Best of Calgary - Repair and Tire Shops?

Did a search, and either i'm incompetent at searching or there are no recent threads on this:

I moved to Calgary in April and am living downtown, without a space to work on my car and lacking the friendly network of garages I had back home. What is Beyond's consensus on the best:

Tire shop for frequent mount/balance needs?

General repair/maintenance shop for performance cars?

    Detailer?

    Wand wash?

    Thanks in advance

Welcome to Calgary, you'll hate it

The two I have recommendations for are here:

    Urban Expressions Wheel & Tire - Bay 6, 44th Avenue NE (403) 769 1771
@tirebob is a member on here and is the business owner. A more honest shop you will not find. Beyonders are well looked after here, only the finest equipment is used and the techs are highly trained, not just flunkies from the street like Canadian Tire or Costco!

Big Bucket Car Wash @ Deerfoot and Peigan Trail - my favourite and never seen it overly busy...has both inside heated wash (with a snowfoam lance) and outside wandwash/truck bay (which has a nice dip for getting underneath the car!) He also has a touchless drive thru installed but I've never used it

Can't speak to the detailer or the performance shop as I detail my own and only drive shitboxes

Yes I personally reccomend urban expressions wheel and tire. They are a small shop that takes care of the customers, and the prices are extremely good.

    Another for Urban X North.

My go-to shop for out of warranty work is Balance Auto. Always very fair pricing, great work, great guys. Came recommended from beyond so I’m sure others will echo that too.

That's why I just say I have a 4" dick and lift weights to make up for it.

I'd agree with UrbanX, but have also used SpecR Motorsports (https://www.specr.ca) for wheels & tires and they've always treated me well.

For car washes, depends where you're located. I can't help you much with downtown.

Unfortunately the city doesn't want you to own a vehicle so there's very few car washes downtown.

Another vote for Urban X Wheel & Tire, owner is a beyond member (@tirebob) and is great to deal with!

Bought two sets of tires from them (some new all seasons just this week), and received great prices / service each time.
