Government forgets we're a Capitalist system.
Not a peep when every company was teetering on insolvency.

Average all these years out and it's actually not that great of a ROI compared to Entertainment, etc.

Guilbeault most run somewhere in greater Vancouver. It's the only place with enough other homeless Quebecers to select a king of homeless Quebecers.

It’s always good to have different rules for different people doing the same action.

When governments introduce these taxes, is their background math on their probable revenue based on the idea that they won't see a change in share buy backs? Given the comment on " this is to encourage companies to invest more into their people" I would think that its entirely punitive but then they also mentioned the $2.1B they would collect from it....

Yes, the assumption is that nothing else changes.
Like when you see billionaires moving out of country after taxation changes and tax revenues drop after a tax increase.

I wouldn't say Canadians in General. The majority certainly aren't voting for this sort of nonsense. Unless you're using the same definition of "Canadian" that the current Federal government does, Which is just a citizen from Toronto or Montreal.
    Last Election:
    33.74% Conservative
    4.94% People's Party

    32.62% Liberal
    7.64% Bloc
    17.82% NDP
    2.33% Green

Not that the Conservatives are some shining light of great leadership to aspire to, but what are the 60.4% voting for the Liberal/Bloc/NDP/Green voting for if not more regulation, more debt, more taxes on "corporations and the wealthy" and promises of free handouts?

Let's also talk about how ridiculous it is that Liberals and the Media are complaining about "Excess Profits" when the government has been trying to justify half a trillion dollar in "stimulus" deficits to pump up the economy. I mean, where the fuck did they think the money was going to end up? I'm more surprised that any of it stayed in Canada, than anything.

Apropos of nothing, this has already happened to financial institutions…

Totally fails to acknowledge how much government spending had to do with these "record profits".

2.4B of which they've immediately promised to spend on 0% student loans.

BQ are funny because they're socially conservative and fiscally liberal.
