When governments introduce these taxes, is their background math on their probable revenue based on the idea that they won't see a change in share buy backs? Given the comment on " this is to encourage companies to invest more into their people" I would think that its entirely punitive but then they also mentioned the $2.1B they would collect from it....

I wouldn't say Canadians in General. The majority certainly aren't voting for this sort of nonsense. Unless you're using the same definition of "Canadian" that the current Federal government does, Which is just a citizen from Toronto or Montreal.

Not that the Conservatives are some shining light of great leadership to aspire to, but what are the 60.4% voting for the Liberal/Bloc/NDP/Green voting for if not more regulation, more debt, more taxes on "corporations and the wealthy" and promises of free handouts?


Let's also talk about how ridiculous it is that Liberals and the Media are complaining about "Excess Profits" when the government has been trying to justify half a trillion dollar in "stimulus" deficits to pump up the economy. I mean, where the fuck did they think the money was going to end up? I'm more surprised that any of it stayed in Canada, than anything.
