Meh, still on board with abortion vs a child deprived of love, care and basic needs.
Ask any teacher that's been a substitute across the city. It's an occurrence more than you Aspenites care to admit.
Neglect in foster care is a big issue too so I'll kill that argument right now.
This is the absurdity of the MuSt sVae LIves! Crowd. Oh you need to save a life to ensure it gets to suffer for its life expectancy?

Regardless of killing baby is right or wrong, this is the beginning of removing the U in USA. Federal government will end up not able to do anything to set common ground for business to operate and cost will go up.

Today it's killing baby, tomorrow is something else. You end up with 50 set of rules and population so low that businesses just won't bother with this market.

Its not great to start with but it's about to get way worse.
You're outlining the benefits that allow that country to thrive, not downsides that hold it back. The only thing they're supposed to be "united" on federally, is the protection of their constitutional rights and national security. Virtually all our current problems in Canada right now, boil back to the individual Provinces not having enough autonomy to manage their individual issues in a way that works for them.

As mentioned a number of times, the right to life and liberty is the highest enshrined right. It would supersede someones consequences for poor choices. It's a conundrum I agree, but it's the way it is.

It's a conundrum that requires compromises.
