Either more Americans are pro-life than noted by the louder voices on Twitter OR more likely Americans want safe/legal/rare but have higher priorities than abortion in their vote decision process.

I don’t see this decision changing the 2022 mid terms nor the 2024 election, unless republicans go for a federal ban. On that note, I expect republicans will move for a national ban in an attempt to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
Is someone who wants to restrict abortions at 30 weeks pro life or pro choice?

What does this have to do with anything?

Stop nominating anti-choice people to be conservative MP candidates and this problem will go away.
No one is anti-choice; that is an implicit straw man.

    Rights are inalienable.

Pre-viability abortion should be a right, ergo it should not require legislation to enumerate it.
On what grounds are rights inalienable and on what grounds should abortion be a right?

I mean, I’m on board with tax incentives to anyone who has an abortion so I’m probably the wrong guy to ask

Besides that. What legitimate grounds can you base those two assertions on?

Humans are the greatest contributors to this climate emergency. We should be actively trying to reduce everyone’s individual footprint. What better way to reduce the population than to reduce births. Taxing unwanted births is also an option.

Extra tfsa room for every year you don’t have a kid, paid for by eliminating the family tax credit

I’ve taken a very cynical view of all these companies announcing they will pay women to travel to get abortions in a different state.

Makes a lot of sense, an employee actually having and caring for a kid must have much more than a $4,000 impact to a companies bottom line.

$4k check to abort the kid is much cheaper to a company.

Its pretty obvious that the US social credit system (the FICO score) rewards those who adhere to the policies at any given time.

Chinas social credit system pales in comparison to the tracking that the US does on every medical procedure.

So how about that big huge no privacy government with this abortion of a decision? No comments on government overeach, privacy concerns, authoritarianism?

    Weird.

    Very weird.

No, its how you interpret them. And you are wrong in this case.

Somebody drank the kool aid a bit too hard in his philosophy courses. Explain specifically how you know a "clump of cells" becomes a human. Viability is arbitrary, viability continually lowers in time, and viability has nothing to do with consciousness.

To be so callous with life that is innocent is ridiculous if you actually believe in rights.

Of course it is arbitrary. That's the conundrum.

I just think it's funny that people were expecting a tomatard thread to go anything but sideways.
