Default Beyonds Preferred Appliance Repair Guy

Didn't see a thread on this - Have a squealing dryer at one of my condos (I know Buster... I know) that needs to be looked at. Tired of calling the unreliable people from random web searches.

    Appreciate anyone's referral !

Appliances are seldom worth repairing in 2022.

Put in whatever Home Depot has for cheapest and put the old one on Kijiji for $100.

Cost of owning the worlds best asset class.

Going to disagree with that on a rental. I’ve used Techvill twice with solid results for less than $300 each time vs $1200 for a replacement.

No one said to put an expensive dryer in a rental.

I used Appliance Force on my Samsung fridge a few months ago and they were decent. Nothing wrong with them, but nothing overly positive either.

A squealing dryer is a fairly easy DIY. Likely a few rollers.

Agreed. I had a stacking narrow w/d combo repaired at an Edmonton condo for $200 all in including parts & labour visit. Cheapest replacement I could find was around $1600. Even the scratch and denters had no stock at all.

Used Totem appliance repair a few years back for warranty work on my Fridge. Didn't pay, so no idea of value for $, but they were good. Nice guy, showed up on time, even left me with a couple extra spare parts that didn't require replacing (including the main board for the fridge) haha.

Tried using apple appliance service, guy by the name of Rob owns and runs it
I thought the guy was awesome, showed up on time and fixed my issue. Washing machine had a grinding sound
Sister called him to fix a gas stove and he showed up for the first appointment to diagnose the issue but never came back to fix it. She tried calling to get him back in and never heard back.

I also had a really good experience with Techvill when needing to repair my viking range. Reasonable pricing and got it done right.

Was getting quotes to fix a gasket on our dishwasher. Prices ranged from 165, 285, and 385, and most others said they don't even have a dishwasher appliance guy anymore. Techvill was the cheapest and great to deal with.

No personal experience with them but I would suggest to check with Bow West. They sell new as well as reconditioned appliances and have a service department. Buying used can be a good option for a rental property.

That’s a good recommendation. They bailed me out with a chest freezer when my in-laws showed up with half a cow’s worth of beef. They have lots of decent used gear
