Default Out of town guests, what so see for stampede?

Suggestions for restaurants or activities for an out-of-town guest to feel like they are "experiencing stampede" without it being part of the typical rodeo/chucks/beer tent/concert stuff? They'll be getting their fill of that as well.

I know what I like to do for stampede, looking for suggestions from someone with better taste or different ideas.

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

If I am in town for stampede (I'm usualy as far away as I possibly can be), I gotta hit up a couple low key higher quality stampede breakfasts.

When some family from Germany came in one year, I booked a horseback riding trip in Kananaskis for them. They loved it.

Wake them all up at 2am and head to Denny's.

Stephen ave is pretty good, they usually have square dancing, kids activities, bunch of vendors set up and such. I'd see when the city does the free pancakes near there (might be olympic plaza) and then go wander all that.

Pancake breakfast of any kind is good for out of town guests (especially with kids). Parade was also well enjoyed by all.

Check out the Stampede Caravan pancake breakfasts. These are the best run. Great music too.

I don't go to them very often.

I would consider going to one where there is not some long lineup of people standing there with paper plates waiting their turn for food. People say "stampede breakfast" and my mental image is basically a breadline.
