I can’t think of any reason I would want numbers on without the 3 front lights so in my case it made total sense to hook the number lights up to those. If you want them separate, you could do what doozer did and wire them to your exterior plug but then put a timer in between.
Exactly. And the reason I plugged the house numbers into the soffit is because I leave my front 3 lights on all night for the cameras (although now my cameras see fine at night without them), but regardless I have light-sensor bulbs in them so they're on all night and off during the day. But that's not so people can see my house, it's to help the cameras see out.

But my house numbers don't need to be on all night, and are going to be on during similar times as my Christmas tree lights, so they'll all go into the soffit plug on the same timer. So they go on at dusk, off at midnight or whatever. Which is a similar schedule to the Gemstone lights you can see in my pics. The only thing that stays on all night are the 3 primary lights.

i just used a smart socket to wire mine, set it up to turn on/off at sunset/sunrise with alexa (with other outdoor lights). wired in 12v power supply in the garage to the door socket.

pics dont turn out well , it's more clear than that normally

It's not the size that matters, it's the taste it leaves in your mouth.

Well it was a few more steps than I wanted but got there in the end. Added an inline dimmer, and luckily I have a 3D printer so I printed a weatherproof box for it. I have it set to about 15% brightness, which is about right. I might even go down a bit more to maybe 10. But now I can experiment from 0-100% and figure out what I want. Also added the timer so now I can pretty much forget about them.

    That looks great! Good work!
Look up the price of a NEMA-4X box to quantify your savings. It's a lot.

For anyone considering these, a nearly 1yr update to report 0 issues for me so far. Lights still working great, dimmer and lights still dry through a full winter.

Time still working great, so far so good .
