Tap, Rack, BANG!
Honestly not sure, there was no commotion and when the dude was removed he went completely peacefully. I am in row 1 so best I could make out from the flight crew was he made a threat or something related to a firearm and forced us to turn around. Finally back on the plane ready to leave again.
could be just a miscommunication. He was probably a blue jays player and was just celebrating taking off with gun hands.

I got into the terminal from a Lynx flight from Phoenix today. Total time from deplaning to car was an hour WITHOUT any checked bags. That seems fucked to me. Canadian customs was a complete shitshow. Seemed like they were totally overwhelmed. Is that normal for a YYC mid afternoon? I have never seen lines like that before in Calgary, but I usually head thru there later in the evenings. There is the super long corridor with bathrooms on the right as you get close to the customs area. That corridor was lined up all the way past the moving walkways with people waiting for customs.
Anyway, that's my rant. At least the car started fine when we got to it so I guess things could have been way worse.
Looking around
Wondering what became
Of what I once knew
Well, let me make you feel better.
Coming back from palm springs last thurs. Flight from yeg to psp got diverted back to yeg so they cancelled our psp to yeg flight. Rebooked 4 of 5 of my party to yyc then yeg and 1 person through yvr. I called and got us all switched to yyc. Flight to yyc gets delayed by 3 hrs, miss connection. Scheduled to fly yyc to yeg at 930. Gets delayed multiple times such that the 11pm flight leaves before the 930 flight. Finally they tow a 737 to the gate at 11pm, get everyone on board at 1130. The water lines are apparantley frozen so they crank cabin temp to 40 and blow diesel fumes throughout the cabin to defrost. People start shouting that the smell is noxious and they cant breathe. Push back from gate then sit on tarmac to 230am. Engine wont start. Back to gate and deplane. Announcement to grab bags at carousel 1. Bags obv never come. Rental cars closed. Airport marriott full. Call westjet priority line to book us hotel. On hold for 45 mins. Finally get hotel vouchers. Click vouchers, hotel is in palm springs. Pay sketchy brown "limo" driver 800 bucks to drive us to yeg at 0400. He's falling asleep the entire time so i have to yell talk at him to keep him awake. Survived. Bags get delivered 2 days later. My luggage has wheel broken off and cracked exterior.
Fuck you paragraphs.

I'm not that kind of engineer, but somehow circulating raw distilate fuel through the cabin is really important to the functioning of aircraft in cold weather.
