Amazon is great for selection and shipping. They have the combined inventory of Walmart, Rona, Canadian tire andbestbuy and the dollar store. Now the price needs to be checked, just like the rest of those places, but it's always worth a check.
I'm with you on this. I rarely buy branded things on Amazon now because some past things I've bought have been suspiciously low quality to the point that I suspect it's counterfeit. If I do buy anything, it's random home organization things that I can't find in any stores. Otherwise I just use it for Prime Video. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I tried it for free a few years ago, definitely a nice perk, but wasn't worth paying for it to me once the trial ended.
Just stay away from the 5 and 6 letter all-caps brand names, they're all alibaba resellers.
Still good value for my family but i agree low quality items have taken over that site.
I can eat more hot wings than you.
lol my mpow headphones broke. Piece of shit.
This. And for the convenience it can't be beat. I mean a month or two ago the kitchen sink backed up. I went to amazon, had a $30 drain snake delivered by 6pm same day. I worked the rest of my day, didn't leave the house, and could fix the sink after I finished working. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Wife and I both have accounts, which we should really cut back to 1 but haven't done yet. We both use them pretty regularly, but not exclusively. There are plenty of places that we still order online, but go direct to the manufacturer.
I'm shocked you got it in time. I have literally had no order arrive on time in months.
I’m blown away at how bad some of you think prime is. Our orders come on time like 99% of the time. We also just don’t buy cheap Chinese shit on there, only look at stuff you’d get from CT, Rona, kids stores, etc. You obviously have to price check, but it’s usually competitive. Overall it’s very worth it for us.
What did you buy from Amazon that you could get from CT?
The last couple of things were a Kidde fire escape ladder (~$20 cheaper on Amazon), Meguiars PlastX and foam applicator pads for polishing the hazy window on my convertible (same price as CT). For CT items specifically, it's at least once a month. Much more frequent for kids toys/consumables (markers, paints, craft stuff, bday supplies, etc). This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I don't have a problem with delivery time. But I live in a condo where drivers typically just drop shit off in the mailroom. There's a minor (at least I think it's minor) theft problem but I don't think it's any different than when packages get left on a porch of a home. I've never had much a problem with it, but anything that is super expensive I tend to get shipped to my office instead. Ultimately, I like going to the store because it gives me a reason to go outside and I like that it's in my hand immediately, even if the shipping is next-day or better. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Yeah I really should complain to them. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I've never had anything stolen, and usually get a package a day (from Amazon or otherwise). We rarely shop at brick and mortar now, as I'm in the opposite boat. It's not that I don't like getting out of the house, I just have enough on my plate that taking an hour or more to go buy something that can comparatively take 0 minutes out of my day is a horrible waste of my time. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I think you’re one of the reasons (ofc on top post covid supply chain) they’ve extended insane estimated delivery times now. I’m waiting a month to get dishwasher podsThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Battery for motorcycle - it's 35-40$ cheaper; nobody has one under 100$ in stock. Amazon's going to deliver a name brand one for 60$? Hells yes! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
