Default Work Laptop Deals Thread (Mega?)

Hey everyone - I need a work laptop.... 13 or 15 inches, probably 16 GB of RAM.

My previous laptop was a dell XPS 13, 16gb ram, intel i7-10710, no fancy graphics cards. It seemed to work well for all I needed. Hoping to snag some 0% financing so maybe Best Buy or Mem Express is my only option....

Any computer gurus have any suggestions?

    Much appreciated

I use a Lenovo P1 Gen4, 32gb ecc ram, i7, 1tb ssd, 4k screen, dedicated graphics... Work bought it for me, so doesn't really help you, but just throwing it out there. It's a great slim work laptop, but I think they are close to $4k in this config.

Lenovo keyboard is good. Not cheap even on sale but a terrible value at full price.

Currently Dell is running Black Friday in July event.
If you want a Laptop you can't go wrong with another Dell XPS 13.
Alternatively if you want to go Mac, the new MacBook Air Should be really good. - That is based on the early reviews

Own a Thinkpad for nearly a decade. Functions just the same as I bought it, nice to have a 15" screen with a numpad. Keyboard has held up great.

Been waiting for the fucking thing to die so I could finally upgrade and get a screen with more resolution and wifi that actually supports 5ghz!

Yea I looked at that, I was hoping to finance and pretty sure Dell charges credit card rates. MeMex and best buy seem to have 0% financing though

Basically the exact same range yes. I think based on my current laptop any i7 processer w/ 16GB ram should get the job done. I honestly don't know a ton about processors but I think that should cover it.

Hoping to snag the above in that 900-1200 range

Ended up grabbing this mofo. Should suffice for all office work I plan to do on it. Potentially some website editing and light process simulations

I heard a smart computer person say that Intel has fallen behind so if I look at the AMD Ryzen-7 then this looks pretty decent.
    Thoughts?

Or perhaps this similar/same one with 512 hard drive instead of 1TB.

Im not a smart computer guy but if their processers are anything like their stock then AMD must be better!

My computer has the Ryzen 7... seems to run internet and MS office apps well

    Ryzen7 5800U and 16GB LPDDR4x should keep me future-proof for about 5 years, shouldn't it?

    Am I missing anything?

We get a EPP discount with Dell for an extra 10% off if you want anything from there.

Pretty basic office suite usage. Company is an office 365 organization.

Thinking Lenovo ThinkPad E16 fits the bill, okay keyboard for when I'm actually typing. Like the upgraded screen.

Five minutes on the config tool gets me to this. Sale right now too.

Just check Rakuten. you will get cash back on top as well.
When I ordered my Lenovo I got 168 back. Not too bad.

Was just gonna say the same thing. Sometimes they have flash sales at 10-15% cashback.

Keep in mind, I have had some instances (like booking.com or hotels.com) where the price of the item increased because I used Rakuten. Just be diligent.
