Moving money from one pile to the other demonstrates that as per usual Kert has absolutely no idea how reality works.

Prioritizing healthcare by race. Nice.

I suggested this in a post above. We need some dudes on scooters with naloxone. Get an OD call? Drive by and throw some naloxone at them like a paperboy....then onto the next. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Business is business, get provincial healthcare paid for by the feds is good for the books. Leave your emotions out of it.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I know you're trying desperately to sound clever - but you actually just sound like a racist. I know you prefer the term segregationist, but it all comes back to race essentialism. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Why’d you ask TurboMedic how many calls were for FN people again? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

And what conclusion did you come to, aside from realizing that you don’t understand the actual pressures on healthcare system? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
None - I was not presented with any data. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Provincial healthcare doesn't get paid for by the feds you dolt, it gets paid for by us, the taxpayer who funds the feds. Just because out of the pot of money the feds collect a piggy bank labeled "Alberta healthcare funding" is given back to us doesn't mean we received something for free. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. As for the whole overdose situation, there is a real easy way to handle it. Screw paying someone on a bike to throw noxalone around, OD patients go to the bottom of the list.
Oh, and before you call me heartless, they literally will not give transplant patients in Canada transplants if they don't have their covid vaccines. So fuck off that we can't let druggies die, they do it to other people all the time.

The Chretien Liberals drastically cut back health care transfer money.
It'll happen soon enough again.
Good jorb everybody.
That's why I was asking for the data. I will always have a suggestion, and I will modify my suggestions based on the best data I have. However, I suspect that my suggestions are still better than the management of the people who are currently informed but incapable of making good decisions. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. When that piggy bank gets its label changed to read something else and goes somewhere else, that’s Alberta taxpayer money not coming back to Alberta. You whine about it being taken, but then think it’s irrelevant where that money actually gets spent. It’s like Albertans want to lose their money.
So that’s a ‘no’ on basing healthcare on outcomes? As for the whole overdose situation, there is a real easy way to handle it. Screw paying someone on a bike to throw noxalone around, OD patients go to the bottom of the list.

Druggies aren’t getting bumped up the transplant list ahead of unvaccinated people so I don’t really know why you’re bringing it up. But druggies will see similar prioritization as treatment drugs continue to see supply struggles. Transplant patients get prioritized based on outcomes because supply is so short. When the data showed that Covid-infected transplant patients had a higher mortality rate, it’s an easy prioritization to make. How else would you want the decision to be made?
When a transplant patient needs noxalone and they’re giving it to a druggie instead, I’ll be right there with you in pointing out the injustice and poor decision making.
