That's a very expensive ridgeline.
That's a very expensive ridgeline.
But we're still getting screwed less than the Americans, as $50,570usd is $67,430cadThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Unless they come with different standard options?

Yah but we've always gotten a better deal, it's never been straight Forex afaik, the jump in pricing we're seeing from 2022 to 2023 is much higher than the US folks.
From what I can tell with playing around with both configurator tools the standard features and options are the same.
That Denali interior looks nice... but $62k

Reviews are out. No ZR2 and no Canyon yet. Seems quite promising so far.

@rage2
First Canyon "review" I could find. Looks like they're finally starting to arrive at dealers in the states.

Fucking infotainment systems man. I hate that they're incorporating any part of the vehicles basic function into them, and I shouldn't have to go through a menu to find the damn headlights. At least the temp controls are still knobs.

Meh, set them to Auto and never worry about them again. Not a huge deal really. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
can't remember the last time I touched a headlight switch in any car.
I drove my dads car the other day and had to put a key in the ignition.
That was weird.

95% of the time sure, but there's some conditions that I want them on, and auto isn't doing it (like daytime fog/snow conditions)This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

My biggest qualm with the current GM infotainment system is that 90% of the "apps" run directly off google. This would be totally fine if it ran off the data from your phone, but it doesnt. You are required to pay a minimum of $15/month for a data plan and that only gets you 1.5GB. There are plans that go up to $70.
My 2022 Tahoe has a home screen that tells me I need a data plan to see that map, the navigation system is google maps which also requires the data plan, spotify, news, assistant... all require the data plan. The only app on my infotainment system other than climate that works is sirius which requires its own subscription and apple car play.
Its an awesome vehicle but I hate being nickel and dimed to the point where I probably wont re-up my lease in 2024 because of it. There is literally no reason why even if they want a google based system that it can't run off the data on your phone. The vehicle will use the same cell towers your phone would while driving/parked.
I appreciate GM is a business like any other, but I refuse to pay for something I already pay for, out of principle.
Can't use android auto? is that phone data, or not on the GMC?

Lol. Just fired up about it and it's a complete non issue
I leave the headlight switch in auto and just cover the light sensor so they are on whenever the truck is running. #winningThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
