Default Anyone ever dealt with a random car parking in front of your driveway?

We've got a car that is blocking half our driveway. It showed up yesterday and weve reached out to all the neighbors and no one knows who it belongs to. Would calling the police non-emergency line and requesting a tow be appropriate? Do they even do that?

    I think it's a bylaw issue.

    Call 311 and report it.

Yeah well I wonder how they get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk bar but you don't see me making a god damn thread about it. Slap your wife Baygirl, straighten him out.

Call Calgary parking authority and be prepared to wait for a while.

While it's there, run the VIN here https://www.cpic-cipc.ca/sve-rve-eng.htm

If it comes back stolen, call CPS non emergency and it will be gone sooner. That kind ditching of it would strike me as stolen. It may not show up there if the owner hasn't reported it yet.

Sooner you report it to 311/cpa the sooner it's gone. And do the VIN search above too.

Get 3/4 tonne pickup w/ brush guard. Put in 4xLO. SMASH car out of the way. Return 3/4 tonne pickup to garage. Call CPS to report abandoned hit and run vehicle.

Yeah, lots of people get their vehicles stolen while out of town and never report. I had someone ditch in front of my garage door in the alley. It was just stolen that day.

It's not the size that matters, it's the taste it leaves in your mouth.

Blocking a driveway - they'll tow it. CPA will sit on it until tow truck arrives. Or at least they used to...

Had my neighbour's out of town guest do this to me for a fee days at the start of stampede. I left a note and they moved it later that day.

Remove the plate and call it in as abandoned. It will be gone rather quickly.

    Yep, this right here.

Report the car as stolen and ditched in the middle of your driveway. Gets a lot quicker action.

SMH... Cant tell if serious or not. Taking a plate off a vehicle cause its parked illegally? What if its stolen and that's a stolen plate on it? Either way its not going to get the CPA there any quicker.

    This is an interesting stance.
Be right back. Just gonna abandon my shit-box half across your driveway and disappear for a week since that's apparently no big deal.

Yea… if you do it to his house I doubt it’s CPA he’s calling
