For your next LR repair, check in with the guys at The Gear Shop first.

I've been drinking, but isn't 12 ohms a lot on a ground wire? Like a lot a lot?

Thanks for the tip. If I do decide to keep it, it's obvious I need a reputable shop. With that said, I'm considering taking the offroading component out of my needs, in which case it opens up many more options that would (hopefully) be more reliable.

Hmmm... I just assumed (bad thing to do during this saga) they would have told me if the new value was out of spec. However, given your comment, I could find limited information online from two sources seemed to indicate that the maximum proper allowable resistance should be no more than 5 ohms. So... a lot? Well, over double is a lot. A lot lot? Not quite? Maybe?

    *sigh*

Depends where the readings are being taken from, placement of the multimeter tips could affect results.

There are many people experimenting with no tipping recently.

Well I'm glad it's resolved. One thing is for sure, with all the RR shit talking, my automotive masochism is ringing in high alarm and I am having a very hard time not buying one right now. I've allowed 5 BMW's to prove the internet correct now. Why not take a stab at RR?

Just came in here to say I had the following work completed on my RR sport:

    - oil change/filter
    - thermostat install
    - cooling system flush/fill
    - a/c recharge
    - tpms reprogram

    Cost me $450.
