Figure I post a review of this place, as it was pretty fucking spectacular for someone that doesn't really care about the MLB. For MLB fans, it's a fucking dream. It's not that I hate baseball, just don't have the time for it, and enjoy my kids little league careers. Anyways, my kids friends are huge Blue Jay fans, so we tagged along on this Toronto trip for a 3 game Cleveland Guardians vs Toronto Blue Jays weekend series.
We planned this trip months ago, and at the time read an article about indecent exposure at the Blue Jays game in these suites, so got the idea that we should do this. Since we booked early, the rates weren't terrible. I think they're higher last minute, if the rooms are even available. Non game nights were $374 + $49 tax + $15 Municipal Accommodation Tax (MAT) and $2 MAT GST. The game nights were $1060 + $138 tax + $43 MAT + $6 MAT GST.
Anyways, on to the review!
First off, as soon as we arrived and opened the doors, we were treated to this spectacular view of Rogers Stadium.
Next up, we went downstairs to the Sportsnet Grill for dinner. Even there, you can have seats that over look the stadium. On game nights, you can sit there to watch a game, with a $50 min spend on food and drinks, plus a $20 upcharge for premium games.
Come game time, it was fucking glorious. Room service, clean washroom/shower, beer in hand, on a couch, watching everything happen. Everything was a phone call away with room service. I could eat like a pig, take a monster shit, take a shower, and still be fresh mid game lol. Had a TV and app for in game stats, but really it was delayed for 20 seconds so kinda useless. The view we had, we could see the stats rings so we were able to follow the game and the players easily, from batter to pitcher. I doubt this experience would work for anything but baseball, but for what it is, it's now my favourite live sports experience.
