GT500zilla hit the dyno today. 360whp 420ftlbs stock cam stock everything besides intake manifold. For reference, 360whp 420ftlbs is exactly what my old turbo 5.0 made on 13psi of boost.

Interesting that an aftermarket cam wasn't installed to shift the power band to make this thing drive more like a sports car and less like a truck.

Guy declined putting a cam in it. I just took it up and down Blackfoot and can assure you it doesn't drive like a truck.

Does it pull hard straight to redline or start to roll over higher up?

It doesn't "roll over" as hard as you're thinking. It pulls hard to 6000. It's a curve that suits a 1960s car.

Unless youre telling me this B20VTEC is also a truck engine because it "rolls over" past 8000 to its 8500rpm redline

The fact is, every engine will make peak power a little bit before redline unless you:
    A. Aren't revving it high enough
    Or
    B. Have a centrifugal blower with a rising boost curve

Is that motor a heavy fucker or pretty reasonable? Cheaper than a coyote to swap? whats the draw to it? I'm not big on ford motors.

haha no chance, just curious why the swap, you'd think it would be a heavy fucker just going off the displacement and being a truck motor

The thing about Coyotes is they make anywhere from 360 to 460 crank horsepower, so without cherry picking the worst (Gen 1 F150) or best (Gen 3 Mustang), we'll use a Gen 2 Mustang(2015-2017) as a comparison. Godzilla makes the same peak power but nearly 100 more ftlbs across the whole rev range for around the same price as a Gen 2. And then stick a cam in it and it'll make Gen 3 power for half the price of a Gen 3 (Gen 3s are very pricey) and again with 100 more ftlbs.

The other thing is, more displacement and more NA power means more boosted pumpgas potential. A Coyote on E85 or Race gas can match the bosszilla's 820whp sure, but it can go anywhere in Canada and fill up on premium and make that power.

The last thing applies only to the classic mustangs like the '68, but it'll fit between strut towers with no cutting or modification to the body. Coyote you have to cut the strut towers out and do a Mustang II front end.

And yeah they are about 100lbs heavier than an all aluminum Coyote. But when I built mounts I stuck them lower and further back than the stock engines on both these cars.

Out of curiosity how heavy is the 7.3 vs 5.0?

The TLDR is if a Gen 3 Coyote fell in my lap Id use that, but if I'm the one spending dollars it'd be a 7.3
