Weekends are for chumps. The real ballers stay until Tuesday to let the unlv science undergrads collect next semesters tuition, $40 at a time. The girls working Monday night really need the money.

Just an FYI for people being forced to finance. The same happened to me when i purchased a trailer last spring. The dealership said after 6 months I can pay it off with no issues. The day after signing the financing documents I got a call from the financing bank to verify info. At this point I asked if I could pay it off after six months and they advised I could pay it off anytime. I didn't have to wait. I'm guessing the dealership gets the kickback if it stays open for 6 months and nothing if you pay it off early.

I've since been told that all loans in Canada have to be open but i never looked into to verify.
This is entirely fact. There is zero penalty. The kickbacks from the loan to dealer get clawed back though. Its a good way to get back at them for being such slimey fucks.

Wife bought a 2023 HRV at Okotoks Honda at 6.29 I believe.

I called my bank and they couldn't do any better.

They noted 7 months wait to pay it off fully but after reading above, I may pay it out early as well.

A lot of dealers are also adding on 3M, ceramic coat and whatever other add on too. So its full MSRP, stupid finance/lease rate and then you potentially have another $2-4k in dealer add ons.

and I did not have the only say in the matter (most people just want it done ASAP and don't care about quality).

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

Yeah most of that stuff was on the original offer she signed until I made them take it off...

Recently put another deposit down on a car. At first they said the deposit would only be refundable if they couldn't get me a car within 12 months, then they tried so sneak a $1000 block heater into the deal (on a summer only sports car)

Good news is that after calling them out on both, they did make the deposit refundable at any time and they removed the block heater.

What I'm hearing is that whether times are tough or times are unimaginably easy to make a deal, there's always room to be a sleazy dick.

Is that some dealers quote or from the build and price? Because if you are willing to order, final price shoukd be close to build and price these days.

Just stuff I'm seeing online. Likely huge dealer markup.

I think factory orders open on in a week. Always worth seeing what that costs from a less shady dealer.

    Generally, the consensus is yes.

If you can find some obscure dealers, there are opportunities to have a normal experience yet.

Everything I’ve read and kept up with - we are going to see and even more impressive lack of inventory, and gouging until we really get serious and interest is up passed 6%.

Another 0.75 coming Wednesday, so buy in the next 48hours for a better rate.
