If Smith doesn't f this up, this means she has a mandate, but really needs to work with the UCP caucus. Now to see if she gets carpet bombed by everyone in the party that is Kenney supporters.

My prediction, she will, because conservatives seem to like tearing each other down to snatch defeat.

I also wonder if the ASA is worth it. If only 55% of UCP voters are at best lukewarm on the idea, then the sentiment of the rest of Albertans is clear.

I don't think you can compare a yes/no to a ranked ballot.

Its fundamentally different. And the vote totals were weird, 7+% voting for Lowen and other low end voters ranked as first.

The system sucks. I never said she had a strong mandate, she clearly needs to work with caucus. Kenney still had to go, he has become an insufferable prick the past few months, and Toews was no better.
