I've got the Electrolux version and split up the pair with the single trim kits to keep them from dominating the space (we didn't have a corner to tuck them around like Benyl has). Still very happy we went this route, since we wanted counter depth and regular counter depth fridges don't have nearly enough space for a family.
I think someone else on here who did a custom build split the pair and hid the freezer in the pantry.

I doubt it would be as bad as you think and would look aesthetically better.

What I know is Beyond isn't a bunch of interior designers.
There's tonnes of theoretical layouts.
Old was the kitchen triangle.
New is into zones of work.
